Backstories

FROM CANADA, WORKING IN HAITI | In these short films, we meet Morgan on a more personal level, and we learn about the work she does with Little Footprints Big Steps, a non-profit operating in Haiti that is featured in Not About Me.

In Haiti, Morgan works with Haitians to reunite families. In this short film, Morgan visits her childhood home with a matured perspective that continues to help her connect with her mom, her Whitehorse community and herself.

Finding a Balance

ABOUT MORGAN | Growing up in Whitehorse, Canada, Morgan had ambitious expectations of herself, normal teenage insecurities and a struggle with mental health and an eating disorder. Over the next decade in Haiti, Morgan overcame physical, mental and emotional obstacles to find renewed strength and a more healthy balance in life.

Together We Are Stronger

LITTLE FOOTPRINTS BIG STEPS | Children belong in safe, loving and self-sustaining families — not orphanages. After volunteering at a corrupt, abusive orphanage in Haiti in 2010, Morgan Wienberg co-founded Little Footprints Big Steps. LFBS is a non-profit that works with Haitian authorities and local staff to protect and nurture vulnerable children, reunite families and advocate for children’s rights around the world.
